Safety rating is based on car-on-car contact across all your laps, weighted by how much you've raced — the more clean laps you log, the higher and more settled it gets. Only car-on-car contact counts against it; wall and object hits are solo and don't drop your score. Until you've run 50 laps your rating is still settling, so a clean record shows as Provisional rather than being marked down on a small sample. Drivers with no laps yet show as Unrated. Penalty count tracks race-direction penalties (drive-through, stop-go, disqualification) received.
